Deeply disturbing report about the actions of the CEO of the Jewish Federation of North America to stop Jewish organizations from speaking out in support of the college students who are being kidnapped in the USA for speaking critically about the state of Israel.

I personally plan to contact my local Jewish Federation, to urge them to make it possible for members to donate and the money stay only in the local community, because I don't want a dime of my money going to support the JFNA when it is attacking due process, human rights and the rule of law.

Critics argue that supporters of Israel are weaponizing accusations of antisemitism to defend Israel's actions in Gaza and criminalize pro-Palestinian voices, including on social media platforms like TikTok. They claim that TikTok has been an important tool for activists and users to expose atrocities in Gaza and condemn Israel's actions.

Well the #JFNA conference in Tel Aviv this week is not quite the staid affair we've come to expect.

Proud of #Israelis for loudly rejecting anti- #democratic #judicial “reform” legislation, and proud of US #Jews for making themselves heard. We're been too long on the sidelines on these issues.

Reactionary politicians in #Israel treat us like we don't matter at all to the #Zionist cause. They choose #nationalism over #Jewish #peoplehood. That way leads to disaster.
