So, these past three weeks haven't been quite reassuring.
- Two close friends (not related) were sick (with whatever) for more than two weeks and struggle to recover.
- Two close relatives had been to ER. One serious allergic reaction. Other sudden chest/heart pain.
- Own child sick *again* (vomiting, diarrhea).
- Close relative has concerning blood pressure issues (too low, close to fainting).
- Emergency in neighborhood.

The irony: this time last week I ordered a CO2 monitor, personal air purifier, and new cute, public-speaking-friendly masks to create as safe a “bubble” as I could for myself during this week’s important work travel and during the event itself. I was nervous but resolved about presenting while masked, knowing that it may be an issue for clients but also knowing my health is more important.
