Isan’s Lerdsila Phuket Top Team beats Banteay Meanchey’s Sok Thy again

Lerdsila Phuket Top Team, 37, of Isan, Thailand has earned his second victory in ONE Super Series. He was one of the winners at “ONE: Warrior’s Dream,” which marked his second bout in ONE Championship’s striking-only league.

Featuring three ONE Super Series striking contests and 11 mixed martial arts matches, “ONE: Warrior’s Dream” took place on November 17, 2018 at the Stadium Istora in Jakarta, Indonesia. In the 10th bout of the evening, Lerdsila faced Sok Thy, 20, of Banteay Meanchey, Cambodia again in a Muay Thai contest in the flyweight division.

After three three-minute rounds, the Muay Thai bout between Lerdsila and Sok was left in the hands of the judges. In the end, referee Atsushi Onari raised the hand of the Thai martial artist, who was declared the winner via unanimous decision.

Winning at “ONE: Warrior’s Dream” improved Lerdsila’s professional record to 188 wins, 31 losses and 5 draws. On the other hand, Sok’s record downgraded to 221 wins, 37 losses and 12 draws.

It was a rematch between the two martial artists. Lerdsila and Sok made their respective ONE Super Series debuts at “ONE: Pinnacle of Power” at the Studio City Event Center in Macau, China on June 23, 2018.

At “ONE: Pinnacle of Power,” Lerdsila and Sok competed in a Muay Thai flyweight contest. After three three-minute rounds, the Thai contender won via split decision.

Lerdsila is a three-time Rajadamnern Stadium World Champion across three different weight classes. He is also a former WKN, WPMF and WMC Lightweight World Champion.

On the other hand, Sok is a highly skilled Kun Khmer practitioner with a Kun Khmer record of 221 wins, 36 losses and 12 draws. A former Bayon and PNN Stadium Flyweight Champion, he is one of the most accomplished Cambodian martial artists.
