When I saw your post, I was curious myself.

I tried to connect my old iPod Nano 1st generation (1Gb black) of 2006 and it mounts without problem on my MacBook Pro M1 max running MacOS 26.1

It is also perfectly recognised by the Music app on Mac and I tried to drag a new song on it to check and it works! Not bad at all, almost 20 years later! 🥳

The most futuristic #iphoneair has the same USB 2 speeds as the iPod nano that was launched 19 years ago

Depending on your perspective, this cements my view that the #ipodnano was a superb gadget.

Other perspective is surely #apple could have given us USB3 speeds
