That is really interesting, helps give me some context...
Today, my #Garmin #Instinct3 is reading my body temperature at 91'F 😂 So it's not just the pulse ox that's reading low. My RHR metric seems to be reading consistently low, like 10-15 bpm compared to what my old but fading #forerunner35 and manual checks confirm (so like 50-55bpm vs 65-70bpm). I would love to believe I'm that fit and athletic but it's almost certainly an under-measurement or under-calculation. I get my steps in and cycle and do outdoors sports regularly, which checks out. I'm pretty sure I'm the target audience for this watch - though, generously, it seems to be a device more geared towards persisting in harsh outdoors conditions and navigation than sensitive health measurements, evidently.
My HRV has been steadily rising from like 41 to 53 now, but given the reliability issues with the other sensors I don't think this #wearable #digitalhealth metric is going to be all that reliable for me anyway. Which is a shame because it's a *really* nice watch aesthetically, and it has reliable compass and GPS, can respond with rudimentary text messages, check the weather, and this cool little LED light (which can turn red!). It's just, like, none of the #vitals other than actual measured heart rate (which the RHR does not actually seem to be calculated from, perhaps a faulty sensor but maybe a bad algorithm) seem to really work all that well. I checked on Reddit and I guess it's not uncommon 😒
