This Week’s #NewReleases: #Elder – #InnatePassage. Listening to this, I thought they’d be Scandinavians. Nope, they’re from Massachusetts. The prog metal vibe here satisfies the initiated – comparable to Porcupine Tree, Riverside, Søen, etc. Lots of arpeggiated guitars and analog synths doing the Roger Dean dream boogie. Don’t bother if the keywords haven’t already grabbed you; but, if they have, light a spliff and give this album a spin.
