In a recent meeting with our state health partners (I work in Healthcare) , we were asked as part of the states inclusivity goals to provide a description of our appearance if we are on camera during our virtual meetings. Your descriptions are fantastic- they truly give perception of what your eyes see. #InclusivePractices
Alex EnkerliAs might be obvious @jesshmitchell, the world of #OpenEducation isn't all rosy and there's a lot of othering in this field. Thankfully, Jess and others are doing their part to help us ensure we walk the walk when we wax poetic about #InclusivePedagogy, #InclusiveDesign, and #InclusivePractices in general.
As for the Fediverse itself, we'll need to ensure it eventually becomes a space for deep allyship. Part of the technical setup might help... yet not suffice.
