Ende/En (10th century)

She is recognized as one of the first female illustrators in European history, having played a key role in illuminating the "Beatus of Gerona," a richly decorated medieval manuscript. Despite the ambiguity surrounding her life and identity, Ende's legacy as a pioneering artist and servant of God endures.
