Happy International Migrant (Workers) Day! I'll be reporting from a Myanmar workers' anti-junta protest in Bangkok this 19th Dec.
These folks work hard to fund the resistance back home against the Mihn Aung Hlaing regime and build awareness of their ongoing war. Although far from the frontlines, Myanmar workers in authoritarian Thailand still face many dangers such as intimidation by the Thai police, abuse by Thai employers, and local right-wing movements. #IMD2022 #InternationalMigrantsDay
