With all the #NPM attacks, I'm thinking about ditching PeerTube and setting up some sort of a thing with a combination of Jekyll and Hyper8 to have a website with the styling that I want it to have rather than Hyper8 since I don't really like how it looks. I want to have it so RSS feeds work for stuff too, and having comments work from other federated services would be nice but I would need to ensure blocking and moderation works and allow myself to add comments too.

i wrote a tiny hugo shortcode template for embedding videos published with hyper8. the embeds worked offline in hugo's server, but were broken on the live site, as they weren't allowed in that server's content security policy. i added the domain to the allowed `iframe` sources, but still saw the same error. then i remembered that the *subdomain* is required. i updated the CSP again, and the blog post now showed the minimal video player.

Possibly of technical interest to those using both #Faircamp and #Hyper8 by @freebliss

For my new EP I published the videos on Hyper 8, and the music on Faircamp. I was able to embed the individual videos on the track pages in Faircamp just by pasting in the code to the "-- more" section, and it works beautifully - see for example:

I know Simon has closed the Faircamp wishlist for now, but I'd love it if the Faircamp embeds were as pretty as the Hyper 8 ones :)

Hyper 8 Video System 1.0.1 is now officially out on all release channels! ⸜(˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝
