Getting stared at whilst wearing my #ElastomericRespirator in public is nothing new, but today was, IMO, notable.

A youngish couple (maybe mid-30s) didn't do a #DoubleTake, or even a #TripleTake, but a #QuadrupleTake.

The *particularly* unusual part? They were clearly both #Hutterite owing to their clothing and hairstyles.

I had the privilege of visiting the Springview Hutterite Colony School, an hour south of Drumheller yesterday, to speak to students about the work of the Senate, and our upcoming soil study. Then the kids proudly showed me around the colony. It was a magical day. #SenateofCanada #Alberta #soilhealth #Hutterite

Hey Mastodon, anyone know where I can find a copy of the documentary "Born Hutterite" to purchase?

I saw it on tv once upon a time and have thought about it now and then for years. Great story of what it's like to leave fundamentalism behind. But every time I search, there's one copy in a library in Canada and nowhere else.
