Weeks after Harris County Jail death, questions about arrest, altercation with officers remain
Alexis Cardenas, 32, died after he was restrained by several detention officers when he allegedly refused to exit the jail in the early morning hours of July 8. His family says he was experiencing a mental health crisis two days earlier when he was arrested over a decade-old traffic citation.
