HCC changing name to ‘Houston City College’ in rebrand projected to cost $2.8 million

After 54 years of service, the community college will be renamed Houston City College, a change aimed at reflecting the college system's new educational opportunities. Costs associated with the rebrand are expected to be about $2.8 million.

Houston Community College ordered to pay more than $291,000 in open records request dispute

Texas law requires public institutions to promptly produce public records no later than 10 business days from receiving a public information request or seek an opinion from the Texas Attorney General. Hall asserted it took the college more than two years to turn over records he requested.
