Two weeks from today I start my first overnight shift at the hospital. I knew I'd have to do this occasionally when I took the job, but as someone who has never once in my five decades of existence stayed up through a whole night I'm not exactly looking forward to it

I'm a morning person to the extreme; I get up between 4 and 5 AM everyday, whether a work day or a day off.

So I'm wondering if any shift workers out there on Fedi have any advice for my first overnights? I'll be working Friday through Sunday, 7 PM to 7 AM the next morning each day. When should I sleep? Should I do anything ahead of time to adjust or get ready?
