No footprints.
No drag marks.
No signs of digging.

Just disturbed soil… and something breathing beneath it.

She woke up refreshed, happy, full of energy.

That was the first thing that terrified them.

They thought it was random.

It wasn’t.

Every report begins the same way:
a silence where something should be.

Then a sound that doesn’t belong.

Then a rule they were never told.

After that, there are no witnesses.

Some records are still accessible: https://odhawrose.eu/

She burned the tree to save him.

Something screamed from underground.

Not human.
Not animal.
Not dying just angry.

The forest went silent first.

No birds.
No wind.

That’s when they realized it had started.

And they were already inside it.

Occulta Daemonia

Five friends play a borrowed board game in a mountain resort. One question is asked—and something answers. Some favors demand more than you can give.

The rules were simple:

Don’t ask about death.
Don’t replace missing pieces.

They broke both.

They thought it was just a game.

A candle.
A coin.
A question.

Something answered.

Someone left a stone at her hospital bedside.

No one admits bringing it.
No one will touch it.

It’s warm.

Your phone dies.
The town is empty.
Something is walking toward you.

What do you do?

My first five-star read of the year came early 😅
I was a bit hesitant at first because the book was almost 1,000 pages long, but I quickly got over it.
It started off slow, but then it got really detailed and kept me hooked. I was always finding time to read, even during my breaks.

Joe Hill's suspense and vivid storytelling had me hooked until the very end.
The characters were flawed, and I loved some of them, but definitely not all of them. They were all surprising in their own ways. And what about King Sorrow? It's a real game-changer: it's got a dark, sharp, and unforgettable vibe.
I highly recommend the book.

Do long books scare you, or do you love getting lost in a big story?
