That reminds me that Holly Johnson, who is the feature of the main article in this month's Classic Pop magazine, stated in the mag that after he was diagnosed with HIV in 1991 almost all his music world supposed friends suddenly disappeared.
The two he calls out who stuck by him and gave him the love & support he needed were Janice Long and Kirsty MacColl. As if you didn't need any more reasons to love those two wonderful women.
The latest copy of Classic Pop magazine has just been shoved through the letterbox by the postman.
I opened the envelope and took a brief glance at the front cover and thought "oh look, it's a fresh-faced young Rick Astley staring back at me".
But no. It is a fresh-faced young Holly Johnson staring back at me.
I'm not sure which of them would be most upset at being confused with the other!

Who had the better camera angles, Holly or Sir Billy?
Holly remains the most excellent showman, able to find the camera and make us want to jump through the telly and join him.
"Love train" pulses and pounds and rattles down the track, it's a dance-pop song of the highest order. Though he doesn't appear on the show, the guitar solo is from Brian May, astrophysicist to the Queen.
