Has anyone run their own instance on #hollo

Well looks like I'll be trying out #Misskey and #Hollo

Ever since Holo updated to 0.8.0, images have stopped loading on Phanpy (though they work fine on Moshidon for Android, as well as on my Iceshrimp and Mitra instances through Phanpy) hmmm

Not sure why, but after migrating from IOC.exchange to a selfhosted #snac instance and then to #hollo, less than 250 of my originally 980 followers have moved over with me. A bit susprised since account migration has been a basic feature on #Mastodon for several years now. @hollo

After realizing how many ultra-light and simple options there are to run small #ActivityPub servers on tiny servers, #ATProto seems even more insanely complex and unsuitable for an actually decentralized social web. While it's cool to see the momentum behind EuroSky, I can't help but wonder... why? It's all here. Just come on in and join us in the Fediverse.

Alright, looks like 797 of you made it over. I also found that #snac decided that seeing follower counts isn't good for me or others, and thus won't display it on profiles. Not sure I like my software to make mental health decisions for me. Maybe #hollo is worth another look after all.
