Recently I took the train to Pitlochry and hiked up Ben Vrackie. The climb to the base of the peak is pretty easy going, but the hike up the summit itself is very steep, at least half an hour of rock steps. The view at the top is great, so here are some photos for you to enjoy.

Ralph BrookerOddly for someone who #reads and #writes nigh on incessantly I can’t seem to bear the absence of music. I don’t listen to music when I #mountainbike or #hillwalk, though I appreciate my walking partner’s chat. Without-music isn’t necessarily a silent state. I’d hoped electronic works (from #Arneheim to #Ircam) might help. Now they’ve become ends in themselves! And this is really what it all comes down to. Reading and writing (though perhaps not equivalent) are (very often) ends in themselves.

A shorter walk today up to Moel Tryfan. Took the Olympus PEN for some proper photos and managed to burn through half a roll. I forget how great of a camera it is.
