This week we took 35 teenagers on a hike and sleep the night in a shelter and laavus. We cooked over an open fire, did a ‘night hike’, made popcorn and pancakes. We had a pleasant night and we gave them more courage to enjoy the nature around us.

This is the latest ever been able easily drive all way in W-fork Canyon Rd. Snow/ice free. And latest also we have ever hiked on the canyon trail. Cool windy 4C at 2400m trailhead much colder where we turned back 8K in 2650m. Most of the snow is gone last 30 days our last visit. But also much more shaded, had put spikes on 5K in. Without those would be slower. Beat hasty retreat when storm force winds came up. O/S warned me earlier 👍🏽. I listen to them. #climate #hiking #dogs #montana #mountains
