In honor of #MayDay, here are a few photos I shot in 2006 of the #Haymarket Memorial in #Chicago. It commemorates the #HayMarketSquare "affair" and the crackdown that followed, which played an important role in the #US #Labor Rights movement. When I visited, several of the figures had been decorated in cloth bandanas laden with pins bearing worker solidarity slogans, and a bouquet of flowers had been placed nearby.
