Purim has always been my favorite holiday.
I loved dressing up, DIYing my costumes, feeling the festivity vibe on the streets of Tel Aviv, walking the streets with my friends, admiring all the othet creative costumes, going to parties, and dancing the day or night away.
It’s been a few years now that I didn’t get to celebrate Purim as I use to, not having a Jewish community where I live
And this year, I know many people are very conflicted on how to celebrate the holiday with so many still kidnapped, others in the front, and with so much loss and grief since Oct 7.
But when I look at pictures of kids in Israel going to school in their costume, or see promotions of Purim parties in Israel, the old me reacts exactly the same, and all I want is to hit the streets in my costume and have a truly Purim day.
I guess you can’t take the Purim out of the girl.
