Hamantaschen is /'o-zen ha-'man/ אזן המן or אוזן המן

And Purim is formally /poo-'reem/ and colloquially /'poo-reem/ פורים.

It’s years since I’ve had #hamantaschen. Never saw it with biscuity/cookie pastry and jam, chocolate etc in the UK, always normal (?) pastry and poppy seed filling topped with a little glaze, and hundreds and thousands (the tiny dot sprinkles).

Now wondering on the sugar content. They come in a whole tub, though I’m sure my mum would help me.

#War is stupid. #Purim is the happiest of Jewish holidays, celebrated with dressing up in costumes and reading the book of Esther, which tells of saving the Jews in ancient Persia (perfect timing). Today, Israelis are celebrating as they can. The photos are all of people participating in the reading in public bomb shelters.
