Polvea särki taas. Poljin 4,0-sisäpyöräilyn. Ajoin myötäpäiväkierroksen. Ostin Budget Sportista polvituen ja toppahanskat. Pyykkäsin.

Halti Zero -repustani on alkanut hihna revetä. Suutari ei antanut paljon toivoa, joten ostin uuden, Ospreyn Nebula 34:n Partioaitasta.
Since mountains.social exists for 1 year or 365 days, let me bring you the story of the 1'365 meter high Halti mountain.
Halti is a fell at the border between Norway and Finland. The peak is in Norway, about one kilometer north of the border with Finland. The highest point of the fell on the Finnish side is at 1'324 m above sea level, and thus the highest point in the country.
In 2015, a group of Norwegians began a campaign to give the peak of Halti to Finland for its centenary in 2017 by moving the border between the two countries by 200 m. The idea gained substantial public support in both countries, and in July 2016 it was reported that the Prime Minister of Norway was seriously considering ceding the peak. Norway ultimately chose not to move the border, citing the Norwegian constitution's definition of the country as an "indivisible and inalienable" realm.
A shame, who doesn't want a mountain as a birthday gift.
How to stay warm (I am writing this from Finland, where I am visiting family who know how’s it’s done - btw it’s -11°)
1. Keep one room warm. Why heat rooms you’re not in?
2. Buy one pair of good quality, woolen socks to wear over regular socks.
3. Invest in excellent thermals. I recommend #halti
4. Down coats are the way.
5. Blankets, not duvets.
6. Try ice swimming, to know how well your body works.
7. Saunas are awesome.
