One of the many camps during my solo ski tour to the Käsivarsi Wilderness Area, Finland. The tent is a Hilleberg Akto, a one person tent that I use on my winter solo trips. I am looking to replace it with something a bit more spacious, with a vestibule large enough to cook in. Other than being a bit small for a bigger guy like me, I really like this tent.

My frozen home somewhere near Halti Fjell, Norway, in 2023, during my six-week solo ski tour. For next winter, I’m planning to upgrade from what I call this ‘coffin-style’ tent to a dome. One of the biggest reasons is space—it’s nearly impossible to cook safely inside this tent during a storm.
