Trying a #Hackenpedder recap.
it is indeed a beginner friendly event! i think the focus is on people who are pretty good at #gravel cycling wanting to start into #bikepacking. my setup with a steel gravelbike with traditional back panniers was one of the heaviest and i was one of the slowest. luckily i wasn't alone back there. i think for a more included feeling you should be able to ride 130-150 km a day (on <50% tarmac). some people treated me weirdly for being slow, others with respect.

some quick #Hackenpedder notes while (second) breakfast:
it's a really beautiful but quite challenging route. I'm at the very end of the pack. I'm intensely enjoying myself. yesterday everybody had to pause because of one heavy rainfall.
today i started with sunrise, because i wanted to see that for once ☺️😅 but I'm also more tired now than expected 😅
~100 km/day with this route works for me, more - idk... as usual I'm not planning but going with the moment... so let's see what this day brings!

note that the tracking will only be via app, so it might be lacking.

For #Hackenpedder Training (and for fun!) i did two bike rides this weekend(holiday) with 100km each. both didn't take the very whole day! so let's see what will be possible once i got the whole day. but also when i will have to do this a few days in succession. 😅

in other words: I'm in the train back home, i got a cardio high and had a super super nice day with a friend outside of Bremen on the smooth tarmac of the Wümme cyclepath 🥰🚴

#Biketooter! there is an abundance of bike events and I'm going to participate in one, which i haven't seen mentioned here in the fediverse:
in a week the #Hackenpedder is going to start. it's no race, but a self supported #bikepacking event in northern Germany (Schleswig-Holstein) mainly on gravel. there is a 1000 km and a 650 km option. you can take as long as you need.
