#Historians of the Fediverse, in times and places where capital punishment was frequent, public and widespread, to what extend did those condemning people to death take into account things like "if I ice this guy who will do his job?" like if he was the nightsoil excavator or the area medic or the only guy who could read for miles. (I am assuming women didn't get any such consideration which is why I'm only asking about men, but if they did, that too) Thanks!
