bonjour !! j'ai une amie à Paris qui aime bien le jeu de cartes Gundam et va à des tournois dans un objectif de sociabilisation mais en gros les gens qu'elle rencontre pour l'instant sont intankable (sexiste 2 fou)
donc je me demandais si yaurait potentiellement des groupes en non mixité (LGBT, trans, femmes, ou sans mec hétéro au moins)

Back to playin TCGs in-store events A report of a Gundam tournament
Ok so, yesterday I went to my first #Gundamtcg tournament at a lgs. I bought two starter decks (green-red Zeon and white-blue) and I was playing the white-blue bc Witch from Mercury.

The Tournament
We were 6, of which 3 were mother-father-son (cute!), also the mother won the tournament for good measure.
I classified 2nd, and in the prize packs I opened a 30€ card, which is better than any result I achieved in like 5 years of playing mtg tournaments (apart from like winning a prerelease and some store championship's top 4s).

Ppl at the store
At the same time there were also a Yugioh and OP tournament, so I didn't interact with ppl outside of the other Gundam players, but that's ok, since it's been more than a year from my last event (also social anxiety and being queer in italian nerd places) but:
I loved how the general mood in the store was chill and welcoming; after I told'em my preferred name nobody asked my pronouns, but the mother switched to the female ones for me and apologized if I was misgendered. The others, all males of various ages afaik, didn't even thought about it and went to the male ones. I mainly focused on the matches and small talk.

The Game
It's a nice game imho, having just one set -and another to come this month- means playing with precons or "casual" decks is still enjoyable. I had fun and always felt I had chances against the others, which is something that barred me from mtg for the last years (apart from...mtg, and its ppl). With the expensive card pulled I got many cards I wanted so with the upgraded deck I'll want to play more for sure.

All in all this saturday did give me some hope for the community, but it's still early to draw conclusions 👀💦 #gundam #cardgames #tcg
