Haven’t had the time to do an #introduction here yet, so here goes: #philosopher working as an admin at the moment. I’m chiefly interested in the ‘why’ of education, and how it gets instantiated (or not) in #generaleducation. I’d love to hear about schools with distinctive missions and how their gen Ed requirements reflect those missions. Also, for my European colleagues: do your units have mission / vision / values statements?I s there any talk of purpose beyond research and/or career?
