The Republican dissent on the #GaetzReport is so narrow, it's damning.
"We do not challenge the Committee’s findings...", i.e. they don't challenge the statutory rape, child sex trafficking, sex with a minor, prostitution, obstruction of justice, illegal narcotics use, attempted witness tampering, false statements, etc.
Their issue is that it's typical to silence reports when someone is no longer serving in the House.
Crimes committed & public right to know be damned.

Today the House Ethics Committee released its report on its investigation of widely reported allegations that while in office, former representative Matt Gaetz (R-FL) had engaged in sexual misconduct and illicit drug use, shared inappropriate videos on the House floor, misused state records, diverted campaign funds for his own use, and accepted a bribe or an impermissible gift.
The #GaetzReport is out and it is damning. Leading us, once again, to ask why the DOJ didn't indict him a year ago?
The ONLY interesting thing about the release of the Goetz Report is that it appears that that committee chairman can be pressured into doing stuff.

If this House Ethics report is true, then why the fuck wasn't Gaetz ever charged? The summary reads more like an indictment than “ethical lapses”. His right hand man is sitting in prison *right now* for this.
