Finally! Crunchyroll has the Great Pretender deluxe edition (there is no other edition) on sale! I could never bring myself to pay $150, but it's at $104.99 right now! Given the sheer excellence of the show and what looks to be a pretty good box set of goodies, I’m pullin' the trigger after holding out for so long.

New anime: #TrillionGame gives some #GreatPretender vibes but so far it looks like Haru is just looking to get rich for the sake of it, and Manabu is just dragged along anyway. With how little sympathy I have for the super rich capitalists of the real world, I don’t feel like rooting for them.
Also I still can’t warm up to the more realistic character designs, my preference is definitely something that looks more “anime”. But I’ll at least give this another episode to see how exactly they plan to “play” their Trillion Game.
