The fires have been mapped at a total of 23.6 acres by FIRIS Intel 24. Their perimeters can be viewed on the Watch Duty map. Note that perimeters are preliminary & don't reflect structure protection efforts.

Update from Santa Barba County FD PIO: Great progress being made by firefighters using hose lines, bulldozers, and rotary wing aircraft.

This from SBCFire info: Vegetation Fires GradeFire: Incident Commander stated Hwy 101 NB was closed shortly but is now open. Please use caution if driving through the area. Firefighters engaged in suppression efforts. Cal Fire Air Tankers released, SBC Copt. 964 & 308 still actively working.

There are 5 fires w/ the largest being 20 acres, the second largest being 1/2-3/4 of an acre & the other three being under 1/4 acre with resources getting to them now & making good progress per Air Attack overhead.

The fire is 15-20 acres, is wind driven w/ structures threatened & there is several other fire starts along the 101 per resources arriving at scene. Sheriff's requested for possible evacuations.

The fire is 15-20 acres, is wind driven w/ structures threatened & there is several other fire starts along the 101 per resources arriving at scene. Sheriff's requested for possible evacuations. This is now known as the Grade Fire.
