Credit where it’s due: the demonstration remained largely peaceful and well‑controlled, which is admirable. I hope the stand‑down is temporary and that government acts in good faith. You had my support initially, but it was lost by day three due to the protest being unfocused. Keep protesting—make it targeted, scheduled, and clearly directed, including at the US Embassy.

I'm curious as to how many people are taking part in the fuel protests. There are some big vehicles parked on O'Connell Street but the crowd of protesters by the bridge earlier was pretty titchy.
