And speaking from personal experience, the cops always steal when they can get away with it. They did it to me, decades ago, when raiding a place I resided (we were bikers and sold certain substances at that time). No charges were ever laid but the evidence receipt had a shortfall of some $2400 that we never saw again. Not that we ever saw the $800 they actually listed again, either.

Some weeks we have had THREE instances of cops or an ex boyfriend harassing us during exchange.
