The scandal largely began following the arrest of a group of 17 protesters on October 21, 2020. In the days after the arrest, Phoenix officers and county prosecutors colluded to invent a gang and then falsely charge the protesters as members.

The city and county stood by the charges until February 2021, when ABC15 launched its “Politically Charged” investigation.

The news series exposed how Phoenix police and county prosecutors lied to a grand jury to obtain the gang charges and testified that the protesters were comparable to the Bloods, Crips, and Hells Angels, according to a confidential transcript obtained by ABC15.

There are jurisdictions where police are not allowed to lie to the public.

Canada is not one of those.

They are legally and professionally allowed to lie.

They take maximum advantage of that permissiveness. They are allowed to create wild and EXPENSIVE scenarios to sell whatever story they want to whoever they want. They have incredible budgets for their lies, and shitlibs keep giving them more money (and never seem to notice that they never reduce wait times or whatever nonsense premise they keep funnelling cash to them under).

Getting a post in under the wire.
It is the Day Against Police Brutality, and yup, we've got some to discuss.

This year we're instituting a hall of shame for bad behaviour at protests.

Special shout out to those functioning as red stripe, e.g. lead for the protest, behaving in extraordinarily problematic ways, setting the standard for the protest.

That award is going out to inspector Bernardo for punching and pushing people on January 10th.

But the big award goes to M Carter for breaking a protester's hip on the same day.

During one incident, it’s alleged a man participating in the counter-demonstration confronted a participant in the Al-Quds demonstration who was holding a stick with an Islamic Republic of Iran flag attached.

Police say the accused began swinging his arms and fists at the victim, breaking the stick and causing pieces of it to strike the victim in the head.

Police allege that in a second incident, another man participating in the counter-demonstration followed a participant who was wearing an Islamic Republic of Iran flag on their back.

Investigators say the accused “spat on the victim and ripped the flag off their back” before returning to the crowd.
