There's a nice autum sun here, great for taking better pictures.

For this week's #FridayFaves I'm gonna point y'all at Micro RPG [ https://preview.drivethrurpg.com/en/publisher/9707/micro-rpg ] These are a fantastic set of small but robust #TTRPG games and expansions. The representation of #LGBTQIA folks is very high, and even assumed in several of the expansions. They are highly affordable and would be an absolutely awesome addition to your gaming table!

I've been practicing guitar again after a long break and want to shout out Novelists for #FridayFaves - they have these sweet guitar playthrough videos with tabs that are super nice for learning. Wish more bands did this, there's no way I could figure out something this complex by ear :P (also the music is very good)

I've been thinking about a #FridayFaves for this week.

And I'm gonna say that it's the #MicroFiction prompts from @FrostPoem ! I'm having a blast doing them. Granted I've only done a few ... but STILL they're a nice way to kick one's creative juice into gear! Give them a try!

Almost forgot #FridayFaves, let's go with Darkwood today. This one is a mixed bag when it comes to gameplay (I find the combat pretty frustrating), but it's also some of the finest atmospheric/surreal horror I've ever experienced. The game uses randomness and fairly minimal sounds and visuals to maximum effect, generating incredible amounts of tension and subsequent relief. There are also several story moments that were so impactful to me I still often think about them. Highly recommended.

This week the official Final Fantasy Piano Collections albums were released on a whole host of streaming services: https://sqex.lnk.to/pianoFF

I'm a big fan of these albums, so it's wonderful to see have a wider release, especially Kumi Tanioka's fantastic Crystal Chronicles album!

Some music for #FridayFaves for a change

I've been listening to Kin by Whitechapel a ton lately. I didn't fully appreciate this album when it came out, but it's now one of my all time favorites. Everything about it is _powerful_ - Phil Bozeman's voice, the somber guitar melodies, the blast beats, the story about trauma and healing, it's all an incredible emotional journey. Here's one of my favorite songs from the album, but definitely listen to the whole thing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CtDBryaeLw0

A chill youtube channel, for this week's #FridayFaves :

I recently discovered Sebastian Lague's Coding Adventures videos (https://www.youtube.com/@SebastianLague), and watching him play with code is a real pleasure.

Most of the youtube coding vids I watch are explicit tutorials, and if I'm not familiar with the language being used or the maths involved, I can't engage. But these videos lean more towards travelogue on a shared journey through knowledge, to learn what's possible, and it's amazing!

Hello, on this channel I explore how to create stuff out of code. I hope you find some of it interesting!
