Frank Hurricane is a modern day troubadour in the real sense of the word. A singer-songwriter, delivering stripped down folk songs that he writes plain language, with plain tunes, often communing with nature, and having traveled in a constant touring mode. He is humorous, light-hearted, self-effacing, and comes cross as a genuinely nice person to hang out with. There is a streak of spiritualism to his sound and strong freak folk vibes. His music is quite gentle and slightly psychedelic in its own unconventional way, tapping into the same deep well as a very young Beck back in his DIY folk days. He is also very adept at finger picking on the guitar, which takes his music to an altogether different level that contrasts with the jokey tone his songs can take sometimes.
