Found this among my old papers. I must have picked it up somewhere at least 25 years ago. #foundPoem
finally they captured her alive in a net.
a footnote in the government programme of localized deities
and punishment for being unknown to them.
she stayed imprisoned
and ceased to interact meaningfully with the heavens.
these ordinary monsters
their food was ambrosia but they bled when injured.
even apparent gods might be humans incognito

(I cut and assembled this a month ago but my cat knocked my cutting board on the floor and I had to psyche myself up to find and sort all the pieces)
