HE CUDDLES

After fostering him for about a month, I was told (by my partner) that no way could we not adopt the cat. I asked «seriously? He’s so scared, we are not able to pet him at all», but the foot came down.

So we adopted him.

And I have worked so hard being allowed to pet him and LOOK AT HIM NOW.

6 years ago: Cinnamon was a very scared baby. We got a batch of foster kittens that were "spicy" and needed socializing. She never quite adjusted. We thought she was ready for adoption after a while, but she went back to being completely feral when we returned her to the shelter. She was very relaxed at our house and all of our cats loved her, so we decided she should stay with us. She is still quite shy!

It's Philippe's 4th gotcha day! This amazing boy started out as a foster for us. He'd been surrendered to the shelter due to chronic tummy problems. It was our job to take care of him while we sorted that out, but we fell deeply in love with him and he had to stay with us. Here's a baby pic!

Cinnamon and Toast love each other like no two cats I've ever met. They're not closely related; Cinnamon was a three month-old rescue from California who'd passed through several shelters on his way north, and Toast is a year younger and was found starving with his siblings in a pipe on a farm in Langley at just four weeks old. But as soon as we started fostering Toast and his siblings, Cinnamon became the perfect cat dad to them all, and Toast latched onto him and became obsessed. Toast's siblings all got adopted by good familes, but we kept Toast for ourselves so that he could be with Cinnamon. They're so happy together!

Adopted: Tess 💕🐾 From Tharyn: Tess came to us as a foster. She was an extremely anxious hound, backing away from pretty much everyone and putting herself into safe spaces to be on her own. Within...

Today, we would like to highlight a special bunny named Twig for Throwback Thursday. She was found scared and running loose outdoors, which is a death sentence for a domestic rabbit. She quickly bonded with her foster mom and, not surprisingly, quickly became a foster fail. Unfortunately, she passed away from an aggressive brain cancer, but she lived the rest of her life pampered and cherished, and she is missed every day. #ThrowbackThursday #Adopt ##FosterFail
For Throwback Thursday today we bring you a little family, Millie, Neatly, and Wallow. They enjoy destroying cardboard, searching for abandoned or forgotten snacks, and perfecting their half-sploots. Neatly and Wallow are expert Bunny 500 racers, the closer to midnight the better. Millie just wants some peace and quiet, a good rest, and for someone to groom her. They all periscope when I bring them salad made from grass and herbs in our yard. #ThrowbackThursday #FosterFail #Adopt
This week we are shining a double spotlight on sisters, Abby and Addy, for Throwback Thursday. You rarely see one without the other. They do everything together. They also share everything. Sometimes they even share the same piece of lettuce or treat, but that's because they are rude and steal from each other. Their bond is special. #Bonded #ThrowbackThursday #FosterFail
This week, we bring you Poppy Esmerelda for our Throwback Thursday. When she isn't training for the Bunny Triathlon, which includes Sprinting, Zoomies, and Hopping, she can be found making haircare videos on YouTube or providing some comic relief at home. She also drives for Door Dash for extra treat cash. #ThrowbackThursday #Adopt #FosterFail
