BenIf you're going to take the time to post your lovely pics on social media, it's really worthwhile alttexting them. Like many others, I tend not to boost images that don't have alttext. Even if they're terrific. There are so many visually impaired people who use this platform specifically because of alttext use, that not doing it feels like a bit of a fuck you to them, and I'm not keen on that. If you struggle for any reason to write alttext, you can always use @altbot who will fill in the blanks for you. Your images will then reach a much wider audience, everyone will appreciate them and be grateful for your kindness and the world will be a slightly brighter place and you can feel good about yourself being a bit more inclusive. X
