A β˜…β˜…β˜…Β½ review of Primate (2025)

Alright, here we go. Is Primate a good movie? No, not really. Does it have a good enough story to hold up when the carnage isn't on the screen? Well, again not really, if the gentlemen sitting behind me snoring is an indication. But when the carnage hits oh boy. Ben is a monkey that lives with a family as the recently deceased mother worked with him on sign language and that whole thing. But somehow a mongoose with rabies gets inside his secured enclosure and bites him, of course giving him rabies, and he just happens to escape and

A Β½ review of It Ends (2025)

Someone got high while watching 2002's Dead End and thought, why not do this same kinda concept, except infinitely more boring and with very little acting talent. Just awful.

A β˜…β˜…β˜… review of Shelby Oaks (2024)

An intriguing blend of found footage mixed with actual movie, which works, despite the marketing giving off more a full on found footage vibe. And while it is certainly better than 90% of its ilk, your enjoyment may vary based upon how well you know the eventual subgenre the film falls into once things get moving. A β˜…β˜…β˜… review of Black Phone 2 (2025)

Go ahead and try to tell me that Scott Derrickson never wanted to direct A Nightmare On Elm Street sequel, so I can go ahead and call you a liar. The Black Phone was a bit of a pleasant surprise a few years back, one of the few Blumhouse flicks that wasn't overly color by numbers, and the sequels marketing did a pretty solid job of building upon that while leaving a bit of mystery to The Grabbers return. Basically Finn and Gwen are still haunted the the experience of what happened in the first film but now Gwen is

A β˜…Β½ review of Last Straw (2023)

Temu Margot Robbie fights off a group of hicks terrorizing her in a diner her dad owns. And somehow the most unbelievable thing is that there wasn't a big MAGA sign in the villains front yard, cause one look at him and you know he is a Trump voter.
