Fuck Paramount/See B.S. and how they shit on legacy franchises.

I refrain from talking shit about #FictionPodcasts that I don’t personally enjoy, preferring to uplift those I do.

But imma make an exception for the boring, half-assed efforts on ST: Kahn. Sure, some performances were great, but mothetfuckers! You *can* pay for top talent at every stage. Why you chose not to is beyond me.

Maybe I shouldn’t have had that 2nd Manhattan.

Thanks for your interest in our #volunteer #voiceacting gigs! We had to close our applications due to the huge response (over 50 applicants in 24 hours!). When we're ready for more, we'll let folks know! Can't wait to celebrate your talent in our #fictionpodcasts #audiodramas #poetryreadings & more!

two #FictionPodcasts I listen to both posted updates at the same time and I can't decide which one to listen to first

Hello. Please tell me about your favourite fiction podcasts! I don't care how old they are: good fiction is good fiction.

A lot of the podcasts I've already listened to seem to be horror-based (or at least horror adjacent), and I'd really like to find some that are more based around positive emotions instead of playing on fear/anxiety so much like all the horror stuff does. I have no interest in True Crime but I do enjoy a good whodunnit, because I like unravelling a mystery. I also like hearing about people trying to build healthy relationships, or at least trying to fix bad ones.

Also, lots of non-Western countries speak English as their first language (South Asia, lots of Africa, most of the Caribbean, parts of the Pacific), so it would be great to find some English-language fiction podcasts that move beyond Britain and USA/Canada, if they exist. Even better if they happen to be specifically about local culture/customs.

I'll post a list of podcasts I've already listened to in reply to this. (I recommend them all, they're all good)

🔍 Did you know that storytelling podcasts are gaining massive traction?

In some regions, fiction podcasting is growing at an astounding rate of over 300% per year, according to Spotify's Nordic podcast manager, Karin Bäckmark.

👂Fiction podcasts create this unique experience, proving that sometimes, what we hear can be as impactful as what we see.

Fiction Podcast: A New Way to Engage With Your Audience

Here’s what we can learn from Laurent’s podcast “The Apprentice”

Sometimes I hate my brain, even when it’s doing good things.

Let’s see if this “good idea” lets me sleep at all tonight. (Because it really does seem like a good idea!)

More details coming. For now, a bowl and some mindless TV before sleepy time.

Oh, it has to do with
#FictionPodcasts.
There are few #FictionPodcasts I listen to as they are releasing episodes. I prefer to wait until a season finale, then listen straight through (i.e. no episodes of other shows until the season is done.)

And by “few” I mean one. One show.

And by “one” I mean Old Gods of Appalachia.

I am the undisputed king of identify what obscure part an actor played previously when I see them in something new.

I can’t tell you the name of the actor in 95% of the cases. And I never cheat by using a search engine. Though sometimes my wife cheats for me.

She’s been watching Young Sheldon the past few weeks as she works on her dissertation, and I’ve caught snippets of maybe a dozen episodes as I’m doing other things, often listening to more
#FictionPodcasts.

I figured out Memaw (Ghostbusters) pretty early. But I just now figured out who Brenda was—Hooker #2 in the movie Fargo.

That’s not me being derogative. That’s actually how the actor is credited.

Also, I’m a little drunk and high.
