Being around people who understand certain things about ourselves and our experiences can be really good for us.

And, especially for folk who have difficulty getting out, online spaces that provide this can be a lifeline.

Anywhere people congregate won't be perfect, and it doesn't mean we all get on perfectly with everyone with whom we share part of our identity (no group is Borg!) but engaging with folk who get certain things about us without needing much explanation can be so freeing!
