Milano, 19 mar. - (Adnkronos) - “Da questo report emerge il particolare virtuosismo di queste Olimpiadi, con delle percentuali mai osservate prima. Nel dettaglio, si è osservata una particolare parità di genere, sia per la presenza delle atlete sia per un numero di eventi con protagoniste atlete, che equipara quelli maschili. In queste Olimpiadi, inoltre, abbiamo avuto modo di vedere anche l'eccellenza delle nostre atlete e valorizzarle dal punto di vista tecnico, oltre che da quello emotivo, osservando anche una parte atletica completa”. Lo ha detto Federica Picchi, Sottosegretario Sport e Giovani di Regione Lombardia alla presentazione da parte di Fondazione Bracco e Comitato Olimpico Internazionale, in collaborazione con Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026, dei risultati della ricerca “Parità di genere e rappresentazione nei media: da Parigi 2024 a Milano Cortina 2026” realizzata dall'Osservatorio di Pavia. “Abbiamo visto una Francesca Lollobrigida che, con la sua ricchezza e il messaggio di bellezza della maternità, ha arricchito il valore sportivo che già portava con sé. Abbiamo visto anche Arianna Fontana, la prima atleta più medagliata d'Italia nella storia. E' stata, quindi, un'Olimpiade con una forte parità di genere e ricca di messaggi e argomenti, che hanno visto le donne al centro”, conclude.

In detail, there was a particular gender balance, both for the presence of female athletes and for a number of events with female athletes as protagonists, which equaled those for men. These Olympics also allowed us to see the excellence of our female athletes and to value them from a technical point of view, as well as from an emotional one, observing a complete athletic part. This was said by Federica Picchi, Undersecretary of Sport and Youth for the Lombardy Region, at the presentation by the Bracco Foundation and the International Olympic Committee, in collaboration with the Foundation Milano Cortina 2026, of the results of the research “Gender Equality and Representation in the Media: From Paris 2024 to Milano Cortina 2026” carried out by the Observatory of Pavia. “We saw a Francesca Lollobrigida who, with her wealth and the message of beauty of motherhood, enriched the sporting value that she already carried with her. We also saw Arianna Fontana, the first Italian athlete with the most medals in history. Therefore, it was an Olympics with a strong gender balance and rich in messages and topics, in which women were at the center,” she concluded.
