Yesterday's perfect trail conditions are somewhere underneath 3-5" of fresh snow. 3" is no problem, 5" can do funny things to your ability to stay upright. It was getting warmer with snow turning soft and packable, so only a few DABs breaking trail on steep sections.

A finger numbing 2°F (-17C) morning at 7am, but the light was beautiful and trails were amazing. Short video of one of the downhill sections with friends.

If you're up for a trip to the Northeast Kingdom, Kingdom Trails is, as one person on strava wrote, "Best fat biking conditions I've seen"

Meanwhile, over on the Woodstock, VT trails ...

For those curious: when the tire is bigger/closer that means I've lowered the seat (dropper post) because of speed or trickier terrain, while flat areas or climbs the seat goes up and less tire in view. I'll also tend to drop the seat as a fidget toy.
Tire rotation direction does not change, it's frequency differences in rotation vs. frame rate, causing it to appear stopped or even going backwards at times.

Nice to be home and out on the fat bike. The guys got out with groomer last night before the freeze and it set up nicely!
Setup action cam under back seat for a different perspective. I may be imagining it, but elevation changes seem more obvious from this angle/direction.

For those who remember Maureen McGovern's song from The Poseidon Adventure, this is the morning after our snowstorm.
We get a couple more inches tomorrow and 6" mid week. A snowy winter here in New Hampshire!

Early ride with friends. The main trails were really great, most of the ruts had been knocked down. Still, if you get too close to the fluffy edge it will eat you!

Double success on today's ride: the camera angle is much better and since it was a group ride, there's other people (and a dog)!
