I thought I'd share a thing I did: A Javascript bookmarklet that toggles between DuckDuckGo search results and Google results. This has turned out to be very useful.

And the Google result are the classic, organic web results only, WITHOUT AI Overviews, shopping boxes, videos, or other “universal” search features).

I'm still on fb and threads because there is some good crafting content in there, especially on fb groups. But I feel like I'm one of the last lone people trying to give compliments to nice works, to actually talk about them, in a sea of "pattern? PaTREn? PATEN? PATTERN? PAAATTEEEEERRN?!!?"

It's like people are the seagulls in Finding Nemo.

This article reminded me of how the internet used to be and rekindled an interest to get back to the times before Big Tech told us what and how to think.

The trick now is finding feeds that give out a full feed rather than just a link to the article in question.
