Not a super fan of franchise itself, however congratulations are due to GTA wiki community for moving away from Fandom following others such as @MinecraftWikiEN or Warframe/LOL/Balatro/Hytale communities (all hosted by Weird Gloop).

To make some noise for the newly independent wikis, https://undertale.wiki as well as https://deltarune.wiki are now live. Congratulations on their successful fork from Fandom!
Even though the community vote on the fork ended just recently, the websites must have been prepared waaaaaay beforehand as they seem to be:
- completely independently hosted
- domain registered a year ago
- Discussions backend uses Discourse, which I don't think I've seen before on wikis?
- There are some kinks to iron out, but the fork seems to be pretty quality.
This was also some very quick reaction based on incoming Deltarune releases.
My utmost respect goes to KockaAdmiralac for leadership on this move.
Also a reminder of https://getindie.wiki/ existence, Undertale and Deltarune wikis will show up there as soon as the extension gets accepted in browser stores.
Gotta love the Undertale/Deltarune independent wiki advertisement on e621.
Also glad to see that Fandom community for Undertale is currently deciding whether to leave Fandom platform as well, voting led by someone who has been core Fandom contributor and someone I really respect. A bit sucks that it looks like the community will be split multiple ways though, Cyberpedia (from attached ad) seems to be hosted on @miraheze and unrelated to the Fandom fork.
So, how is it going #Fandom? Are you sure you want to continue recommending those gaming wikis as top wikis on your platform? It seems like none of the communities really want to be there...
Today another wiki from this list has forked, congratulations mtg.wiki community!
The biggest takeaway is that Fandom's biggest advantage and leverage over countless communities on their platform - Search Engine Optimization doesn't work as deterrent for wiki communities anymore.
Fandom cannot hold the communities hostage any longer.
I've been helping move the wiki for Super Animal Royale videogame out of the claws of Wikia/Fandom, and today we can finally announce the fork!

Hey Mastodon! We're officially choosing to fork away from #Fandom for a variety of reasons, including excessive #advertising, a bloated platform, the #Grimace / #McDonaldsWiki controversy, and general dissatisfaction with the UI, UX, and DevEx of Fandom's platform.
The administration of the wiki is currently discussing what comes next.
