Hah. Random memory because a conversation got me thinking about the #fallout series. #fallout3 had a game crashing bug where if you entered a particular building full of feral ghouls and started blasting, the game would lock up and exit the moment you fired. I think this happened regardless of free fire or in VATS.

The problem? The game engines enemy AI coding couldn't quite handle running on Symmetric Multiprocessor environments like, say a CORE 2 DUO at least in Windows10!

Fortunately there's an entry in the game engine config file you can make to limit AI thread count.
