Finished: Tower Of God s2
This was a drag and it was mostly curiosity where they want to go that kept us watching.
The new cast members didn’t quite gain my sympathy as much as the old ones, and except for Horyang they are also quite unimportant for everything, so I was glad when first Khun and then the other season 1 regulars got involved again.
And then there is the plot… what plot? It seems like there is one but I am getting more and more confused because a lot of stuff is not really explained (I didn’t even quite understand the rank system) and there are too many involved characters and factions.
Another season would be a big “maybe” although I’d like to know what everyone is up to.

Finished: Gun Gale Online II
I liked the first season and its characters, and I also liked the second. The events were interesting and there were some real surprises in there (won’t spoil). Llenn and Pitohui are especially cornerstones of this and just fun to watch on their own but also in their interactions.
The characters (players) are serious about winning events, but the show also doesn’t let us forget that the characters are just playing a game for fun, which for me makes it more likable than SAO which always came up with plots where lives are at stake (that’s very subjective of course but I prefer the low stakes, or maybe I just dislike the writing of SAO).
I’d absolutely come back for another season.

Finished: Ranma 1/2 remake s1
While there are some questionable aspects that I talked about before (a lot of fighting to “win” someone by beating someone else), the character dynamics work and make this a fun show even today.
And I really like the choice of colors in the remake, everything looks really vibrant and nice.
Good show to keep watching.

Finished anime: Mecha-Ude
One could tell that this could easily have had more episodes, but in my opinion the creators managed to select the right scenes to make it into the final result. Although it was fast-paced (which especially didn’t leave too much room for convincing character moments and development) it was easy to follow. I liked that the character design was on the simple side but animated quite well, using the strengths of the medium.
The story overall was not the most mind-blowing and I kind of wished the resolution were more creative than just being stronger than the last enemy, but overall it was a good show with likable characters.

Finished anime: DanDaDan s1
There’s honestly no way this could have failed, I love the manga since the first chapter and it got a great studio working on it.
Okarun and Momo are just a refreshing combo, and then there’s all those crazy ideas for aliens and evil spirits that are appropriately creepy.
The anime also found some great ways to set the scene, the choice of animation, lighting (light colors) and some other creative depictions made this extremely satisfying to watch.
