Let's wait for the context before judging the person drinking Starbucks while walking by the injured girl. They may have been in shock (the brain does strange things when you're scared), they may have been directed to walk to a safe location by the authorities, they may have had reason to believe that the girl would receive medical help within a minute.

The shooter was the son of a former deputy sheriff. Would be interesting to investigate Dad's political leanings as part of this case.

I'd say "thoughts and prayers", but empathy is weakness, especially towards a country threatening mine with annexation.
