FIRST Robotics of #Minnesota closes the 2026 competition season at Concordia University, St. Paul with MSHSL – Minnesota State High School League – Championship. The top 36 teams, ranked by their season performance, are competing today, May 16th for the title of the State Champions.

Context: I still have the laptop I used for #FirstRobotics for 2006 and 2007 (maybe 2005), and it still has the complete development environment for those IFI controllers.
2811 just got picked for Alliance 1 at #PNW #DCMP and I'm losing my mind right now. I have been saying for *months* that we built a fabulous defense bot. Drivers don't want to hear it (they want to score points). Now defense might just punch our ticket to #FRC Worlds.

The team has come up with an idea to manage the power consumption in a centralized manner. Each mechanism before doing anything would estimate how much power it's going to need in this iteration and reserve that amount at a central location. The kids now are working out an allocation algorithm that would process such reservation requests and distribute the power fairly according to mechanisms' importance.
